Ministry Week

Sorry we have been out of contact for the last few weeks. We finally finished our exams on Monday - they weren't as bad as we thought they would be. Some of the lecturers really spoonfed us and one even went to the extent of giving us a full studyguide that had all the questions that he would ask. It really helped to narrow down the study parameters, so we were really grateful! Studying for the exams was actually really good as it helped to solidify all the thoughts and ideas that have been circling in our minds for the last few months. It was also quite fun studying with Chester - I wasn't as competitive as I thought I would be! Well, we'll see when the marks come out....

Just wanted to let you guys know that we are flying to Pietermaritzberg tomorrow. It is another smaller city up the coast. We will be doing our ministry week up there at a SIM facility (SIM stands for 'Serving in Mission' and is similar to missionary organisations like OMF) which runs an HIV/AIDS hospice. We are not quite sure exactly what we will be doing, so we are semi-apprehensive about the whole thing. But please pray that whatever we are plunged into, that we will be equipped, not nervous and be courageous about telling people about God's word. I'm personally a bit scared about it all because it is adults ministry - Ive only ever done teenage/kids ministry - and we will be ministering to those that are probably dying. Im sure there will be loads of questions about where God is amongst all the suffering. Please pray that I will have the right words to say.

After that, we will be going to Durban, a bigger city about an hours drive away. We will be hanging out there with a few college friends and having a holiday. Then we will be back in Cape Town on the 2nd July and still have another 2 weeks off before semester starts again.

Im not sure what type of internet access we will have over the next few weeks, so sorry if we are out of contact again. I will def be posting up more info about whats been happening when we get back - so stay tuned....

luv
ka
